Procedures:
1. Have
students copy vocabulary list from the board. Use class set of dictionaries to look up words.

out article, “Stellar Tantrums” by Sorcha McDonagh from Access Science. Have students read it silently.
3. Have
students write a 4-6 sentence summary of the article by paraphrasing what was
said in the original article.
4. Have students use classroom computer to
create correct citation for article using Citation Machine. Then, have students put the citation on their
summaries before turning them in.
5.
After students turn in their summaries, discuss article with class.
