respond to a teacher's writing prompt.

use email.

reply to an email message.

Materials/ Resources:List of writing prompts, several computers with Internet access

Standards: Technology COS Computer Applications #32

Procedures:

1.Each week the teacher posts the journal prompt on the board and emails it to each student.

2.Each student is responsible for writing back to the teacher using email.The journal response should be at least 6 sentences long.

3.After the teacher has replied to the original journal entry, the student is expected to ask the teacher a question.

Assessment: A weekly participation grade is assigned.

Students are graded on the following:

a.6 sentences12 points

b.Asked a question5 points

c.Met deadline3 points
