How
can it help teachers in my district?
This tool is one of the best for
organizing students' thoughts so it would be very helpful to use to prepare
students to take the Alabama Direct Assessment of Writing in grades 5,
7, and 10. Because of the visual nature of the program, Inspiration®
is wonderful for special needs students such as those with learning disabilities.
This program also provides teachers with ready-made templates for Language
Arts, Science, Social Studies, Planning, and Thinking Skills. In
addition, teachers can design their own templates and save them to use
with Inspiration®.
How
can it improve student achievement?
Research has shown that using visual
learning tools such as Inspiration® can improve student performance
on language arts, writing, and reading tests. Visual learning can
also enhance student understanding of social studies and science concepts.
