Paris on Parade 
A Virtual Field Trip to the City of Lights
Bienvenue, étudiants, à une excursion virtuelle des monuments de Paris.

You have been selected to visit the 8 suggested monuments in cyberspace and collect pictures of at least 5 of them. Also be sure to collect at least 3 interesting facts about each monument as well. At the conclusion of this activity, you will prepare a printed travel guide book for students who are not familiar with Paris or the French language and culture.

Next, save some pictures:
To save a picture from the Internet, follow these steps.
1.    Put your cursor on the picture you wish to save.
2.    RIGHT click on the mouse
3.    When the box pops up, choose the SAVE PICTURE AS option.
4.    When the next box pops up, give your picture a unique file name and click SAVE.

Then, create pages for your book:
To retrieve a picture and put it into a word document, follow these steps.
1.    Open a blank Word document.
2.    Go to INSERT, PICTURE, FROM FILE.
3.    Choose the file name of the picture you want and click on the INSERT button.
4.    Then add 3 sentences about your picture.
4.    Voila! You have completed a page of your travelogue.
 

Assessment:
Each person will turn in a travel brochure of 2 pages.
The title page should have Your Name’s Paris Trip and 2 pictures and 3 interesting facts about them.—15 points
The second page should have the remaining monuments and 3 interesting facts about them--15 points
Total points possible: 30 points
