About Wireless Networks Laurie Fowler
Wireless computer networks are a hot topic in both the business and private sectors.  This tutorial has information on how wireless networks work as well as how they are used in public and private enterprises.
Many companies are going wireless to create more flexibility for their employees to work in teams.  Wireless access allows people to work together  anywhere in the building rather than being compartmentalized into offices.
Also, wireless access points are now affordable enough for private citizens to use them to create their own wireless networks at home. This is of critical importance since many households now have multiple computers.  A wireless network allows a family to connect several computers to one cable or DSL modem simultaneously.
